Pending World-Record Antlers May Be Worth Over $100,000

Remember Stephen Tucker and his massive 47-point buck from last week? It turns out his deer may not only get him world-record status, he may also be a much richer man thanks to the antlers.

Though the world-record status of the buck still remains up in the air until, the antlers have been valued at a staggering $100,000.

Tucker’s newfound fortune may not end at the profit he receives from selling the antlers.

“He pretty much won the lottery,” said Josh West of Wildlife Taxidermy in Madison. “He will have all kinds of opportunities to make a lot of money off endorsements, public appearances and things like that.”

Tucker is still undecided on what he’ll do next, though he’s currently storing the antlers in a local bank while he waits for the 60-day drying period to see if they meet the world-record requirement.

“I don’t have any plans for it right now,” Tucker said Tuesday. “I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’m just going to go with the flow. I just feel very blessed.”

Very blessed indeed. If only all deer hunts could be half as lucrative as this one.
