It’s not easy to capture anything 3,000 feet below the surface of the ocean. That’s why it wasn’t until now that scientists were finally able to follow the world’s largest active predator on a hunt.
These scientists follow a sperm whale as it uses echolocation to track down what appears to be a squid. Since they typically prefer to feed on squid, that makes it a likely dinner choice in this case.
