New South Wales mother, Tamara Thurgood, woke up to the screams of her son, Tyler, last Thursday around 11:30 p.m. Upon entering his room she discovered Tyler on the top bunk with a 3 meter python wrapped around his body, biting down on his head.
“I jumped out of bed and went to Tyler to find a big effing snake wrapped around the bed head, said Ms. Thurgood. I grabbed his arm to pull him off the bed but he was stuck. So I rolled him and then pulled.”
Immediately after freeing Tyler, Ms. Thurgood got in touch with family friend, Brady, telling him to find and take care of the snake and then took her son to the hospital with bites to his head and hand.
“It was dark when I walked into the room and had to use a torch to find him,” Brady said.
Luckily it didn’t take long for Brady to come face to face with the python and dispose of it.
