Giant Aggressive Gator Forces Park Shut Down

Rainbow River at KP Hole Park in Dunnellon has been shut down by Marion County Parks and Recreation due to a massive, overly aggressive alligator. The gator is said to be around 8 feet long and was spotted within a mile of the swimming area. With recent alligator related deaths, this situation isn’t one to be taken lightly.

Officials will inform the public when the threat has been dealt with via Facebook. For now, park officials will only allow kayaking and canoeing.
