Kevin Willis, a fish and wildlife technician, recently caught a massive alligator gar while fishing in Matagorda Bay.
Coastal Fisheries – Texas Parks and Wildlife posted a picture of Willis and his catch, giving everyone an appreciation for just how huge this gar was. Willis is completely dwarfed by the size of his catch.

The enormous gar was released back into the bay, so there’s no official word on weight or length of the fish. A fully grown alligator gar can be over 8 feet long and weigh up to 300 pounds.
