Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) is one of the most relaxing activities on the water. It’s just you, the sea, and a board – unless a pod of hunting orcas breach the surface only a few feet from you in search of a nearby seal. That was the case for Dag Goering and Maria Coffey – owners of the travel company Hidden Places – when they were out and noticed some orcas in the distance when they dove. Moments later, they got quite the surprise (possibly a mild heart attack) when they figured out where they were headed. Right under them.
