It’s not every day that a shed hunt yields anything more than some impressive antlers. Then again, it’s not every day you run into a mountain lion that looks like it came over from Africa. Shed hunter Abbel and his son Steven had quite the find when they stumbled upon this absolute beast of a mountain lion in the Navajo Nation in Arizona.
The father/son duo came across the mountain lion and shot it from 15 yards after calling it in.
While the Navajo revere the mountain lion, viewing it a a protector and provider, the Navajo Fish and Wildlife Department control their population by issuing out hunting permits.
