Physics Defying Shark Spins Six Times in One Jump as Kayak Fisherman Tries to Stay Clear

I don’t know about you, but I get uneasy if I see a shark anywhere close to me when I’m in a kayak. If I have that same shark hooked on a line and it’s performing flips that would make a dradle jealous and makes me question the laws of physics, I’m paddling away as fast as I can.

The shark in question is a spinner shark (named for obvious reasons) and the fisherman is Brandon Barton, who was kayak fishing a mile off Navara Beach near Pensacola, Florida, on Saturday. Barton was understandably happy to have lost the shark before it got too much close to the boat, otherwise this could’ve been a completely different story.

“I did my best to keep this crazy shark out of my kayak,” Barton said. “It finally broke me off on its final set of spins.”
