A group of tourists got way more than they expected when they were passing through South Africa’s Kruger National Park.

Captured by Marten Lange, this footage is the result of him taking a group on a drive to look for wild game. Upon noticing a group of lions resting in some brush near the road, Lange stopped moving to see what may happen.
It wasn’t long before some buffalo passed by, leaving a couple of stragglers. Right as the stragglers started to cross the road, it was attacked by one of the lions with another following closely behind. The entire group of four eventually moved in, taking part in the feast.

“It was like watching an exciting wildlife documentary, but now we were part of the action,” says Lange. “I have seen a couple of kills by leopard, lion, cheetah, wild dog and hyena. But nothing previously seen could compare with this experience, because it was so in your face. My guests were absolutely blown away.”
This incredible experience is one that will stick with them forever, seeing one of the world’s deadliest predators doing what he does best.
