It looks like this western rat snake and Ron Swanson may just have something in common.
This North Carolina homeowner discovered quite the surprise when they walked into their kitchen to discover a snake attempting to slowly eat their basket of eggs.
“It was a run-of-the-mill Sunday afternoon [when] a noise in the kitchen made us look up at the spice cabinet … where THIS was descending toward a basket of fresh eggs on the counter!” says homeowner Laura Neff.
Neff may have the calmest reaction to finding a snake in her kitchen than most of the country, she even let it finish the egg before removing it.
“Using two brooms, a whole lot of patience, nudging and encouraging, we finally convinced it that going out the open window was a MUCH better option than slithering away behind the fridge!” she says of getting rid of the snake.
