The Polar Bear, a 102-foot luxury yacht housed in the San Diego boat yard, was completely destroyed after erupting in flames while dry docked.
The fire was reported at 9:10 a.m. last Thursday at Marine Group Boat Works. The video ended up going viral almost as quickly as it burned, garnering over 1.9 million views since being uploaded.
“Am I angry? No. Anger is not the right word. It was my toy, my wonderful, beautiful piece of equipment. I think it’s the most beautiful boat that ever has been built,” Larry Jodsass told NBC 7.
We’d cry too if we lost that beauty.
