When we say any of the surfers that take on big-wave surfing could die during any ride they take on, that’s not an understatement in the slightest.
Film-maker Tim Bonython undertook his latest film, “The Big Wave Project,” with the goal of offering an up close look into the rarely seen and tight-knit world of big wave surfers. After five years of working on his vision, Bonython has released the trailer to his film…and it looks incredible.
From the exhilarating highs of riding a monster swell to the lows following life-threatening situations that inevitably happen in a sport like this, the film features it all and gives a unique perspective into these surfers lives. At the end of the day, there’s only a certain type of person who takes on a 100-foot wall of water, and this film takes us into their minds.
