Drivers traveling along NW US Highway 441 in High Springs, Florida got quite the surprise today as traffic was temporarily shut down due to a gator crossing the road. The gator had recently finished a meal near Bev’s Burgers of the dead deer variety.
High Springs Police Department Officers had their hands full as they dealt with the 6 foot gator. They were finally able to subdue and capture the gator with help from the Florida Wildlife Commission. The gator will be relocated away from the public to a safe area where it can keep away from roads.
