If there’s one thing that could take away all of the frustration that comes from playing a round of golf, it would be whipping around the course on a jetpack. Bubba Watson and Oakley understand this, so they created just that – a golf jetpack.
What’s the biggest advantage to the Watson/Oakley jetpack?
“You’re riding by yourself,” says Watson. “You don’t have to ride with that annoying golfer who tells you all about his score. You just watched it, you don’t need to hear about it.”
Truer words have never been spoken.
In reality, the jetpack or BW-Air – built by Martin Aircraft – is an experimental aircraft the company hopes to sell to first responders by the end of the year. Because of it’s ability to travel at 46 mph, reach an altitude of 3,000 feet and land in relatively small spaces, it would be beneficial to fire, police an rescue departments.
Sadly, it won’t be the next big thing on golf courses. A jetpack would’ve been a pretty sweet way to shoot a round, though.
