Blake and Tyra Whitlow and their kids were having an enjoyable trip at Panama City Beach, Florida, when the water turned white with total chaos. Once they realized it was a shark feeding frenzy, they immediately pulled their kids out of the water.
“My reaction was kind of calm. I thought it was kind of neat — at first I thought it was porpoises,” said Whitlow told WHNT News. “Then, after we figured out they were sharks, my wife quickly tried to get the kids out of the raft, on to the beach.”
He quickly grabbed his camera. “I knew I wouldn’t have very long,” he told WHNT News. “I ran while I was filming — I was amazed that one [shark] kind of came on shore; a man tried to help it.”
