Al McGlashan’s Fish’n with Mates launches on Sunday 11th October at 4.30pm on 7mate.
Al is on a bucket list fishing adventure. Not satisfied just travelling the world in search of the best fishing destinations, this fearless fisherman wants to capture the experience above – and below – the waves.
Al McGlashan said: “This is my best show yet! I’m so excited to share the biggest fish in some far-flung locations, and for the first time, we really get to meet some of fishing’s greatest characters.
Join me in this exciting new series as I go on a world tour chasing down the ultimate fishing bucket list locations for some incredible fishing with some great mates.”
This exciting series includes: Jurassic tuna of Ascension Island, Tarpon in Florida’s Everglades, Papua New Guinea black bass and barra, rig fishing Louisiana’s Gulf of Mexico with the USA’s favourite fisherwoman), snook fishing with astronauts on America’s Space Coast , Australia’s Top End with Aussie Cricketing legend Matthew Hayden, and USA’s famous Lake Toho with Aussie Bass Pro Carl Jocumsen, dogtooth of East Timor and of course some local action as well.
Al McGlashan is the epitome of passionate fishing and all things outdoors. As a keen adventurer, his love of fishing led him away from the confines of the corporate world and down a path of photojournalism and TV presenting. Today, the father of two spends more than 200 days a year on the water successfully combining his passion for fishing, conservation and photography.
Al contributes to magazines around the world, has a weekly column in Australia’s number one newspaper, authored several books including the bestseller – The Complete Fishing Bible. Al’s fishing exploits are famous and he has received worldwide coverage for filming the great white sharks aggregation near Sydney, as well as catching a monster bull shark in Sydney Harbour. He landed one of the biggest tuna ever seen after an epic 7hour battle that was a leading story for the nightly news. Even with all this, Al’s biggest achievement was being pushed out of the way by a huge mako shark that ate the marlin he was filming and its all on film!
