Passengers aboard Viking Cruise’s Viking Sky got way more excitement than they bargained after hitting crazy rough seas.
The ship sent out a distress signal while off the coast of Norway on Saturday to initiate an evacuation of 1,300 people. They stated the issue was “engine problems in bad weather,” according to CNN.
Rescuers sent five helicopters and several vessels to help get the passengers to safety, but even that would be a long process, made worse when some of their resources to help another vessel with engine trouble.
Here’s to hoping everyone managed to remain safe and mostly injury free. Since it looks like an invisible bulldozer is tearing through the ship, it’ll be a miracle if someone hadn’t gotten seriously banged up.
