We want nothing to do with the smallest of spiders that exist, much less any that are approaching the size of a baby like this monster in the Amazon.
This giant mygalomorph spider can be seen preying on a opossum that wasn’t fortunate enough to be able to escape the huge tarantula.
This particular nightmarish scenario was captured as part of a study that essentially looked at interactions between spiders and vertebrates. It turns out that Amazonian spiders account for a large number of vertebrate deaths in the area.
Mental note — never go to the Amazon if you don’t want to be attacked by something from a night terror!
