Just one mistake can mean the difference between life and death for these leopards in Botswana.
While enjoying a meal from the safety of a tree, a young leopard cub loses its grip on its dinner and watches it fall to the ground. It quickly jumps down to retrieve it and realizes it had really bad timing.
As it starts to eat again, a pack of African wild dogs starts closing in. The mother quickly grabs the antelope and runs it back up the tree it fell from while the cub bolts and climbs another nearby tree. Fortunately, both leopards managed to stay away from the wild dogs as they waited until they lost interest and moved on.
