Despite getting everything prepped and 100kg of explosives set in place, the 4,000-ton silo didn’t exactly implode as intended when the demolition team set off the charges.
Instead of collapsing in on itself, the building tipped over before getting stuck at an angle. After sitting there without moving for about 40 minutes, excavators were brought in to slow help knock the building the rest of the way over.
