Two wood grouse found out that neither one of them were the top bird on the block after a recent fight for dominance ended badly for both of them.
While squaring off with one another, it looks like the fight could go either way. That’s when a golden eagle swoops in out of nowhere and immediately takes one of them down.
We’re not sure why the grouse that avoided the eagle’s talons decided to stick around — maybe it was still in a mod for a fight? — but it should have flown the coop the second that eagle showed up. Instead, it decides to move in on the eagle, which becomes immediately apparent it was the worst thing it could’ve done.
The eagle launches onto it and takes it down after a brief struggle.
