Ice fishing is a major time investment to get setup and ready to fish. Anglers have to make it out to their spot with all their gear and drill a hole in the ice, so the last thing anyone wants to do is be forced back to land sooner than they planned.
Because of that, they don’t let very many things make them go back to shore — unless that thing is a wave moving under the ice and breaking it up as it rolled in. Luckily, the anglers manage to get back into shore without falling in. Despite what looks like some close calls, they make it back safely.
