It turns out today’s movie stars didn’t have anything on actors in the beginning of cinema. That’s because, instead of stunt doubles and blanks, actors just had to man up and get shot at.
Seriously, a lot of the old action sequences from old films were likely just terrified actors running from very real bullets. It turns out there wasn’t a whole lot of acting going on.
This obviously couldn’t have ended well for many people. It didn’t. Getting shot wasn’t such a rare occurrence, which isn’t surprising since, you know, people weren’t meant to dodge bullets!
