Falconers go through a lot of training in order to be able to get their own falcon. Once they’re able to have one, then they have to go out and catch it so they can train it. Basically, it’s a really big time investment. But it’s worth it for those that love it, which brings us to our biggest question concerning this clip — why release a falcon by a busy freeway?
It’s simple enough to understand how choosing to let the falcon fly right by a freeway is a terrible idea. Apparently, these guys didn’t quite think things through. Once the falcon takes off it’s like the ending to every animal rescue move ever. It’s free, it’s flying, it’s happy.
Then SPLAT!
In a cartoon-like fashion, the falcon kamikazes right into an oncoming semi truck as the owner and his friends look on in horror. It somehow manages to be both hilarious and sad at the same time. After all, that’s a huge investment this guy literally just watched take a nosedive into a 40 ton truck. But, still, what were they thinking?
