Cannonballs from the Civil War may have been discovered at a South Carolina beach on Sunday after Hurricane Matthew hammered the beach during the weekend. A bomb squad was brought in to handle the retrieval of the explosives.

The cannonballs were found at Folly Beach but couldn’t immediately be gotten to because of the high tide. Residents were warned that once the bomb squad was able to reach the cannonballs, they may hear a small boom.
