If you’re thinking of getting into bowfishing, it’s not nearly as expensive to get started as you might think. It’s actually way cheaper than anything bowhunting related. In a lot of cases it’s possible to get a high-end bow and reel setup for around $400. If you’re looking to go even cheaper than that, you can even make your own like in the video below. All you need is a bow with a stabilizer port (pawn shops work great here), a fiberglass fish arrow, bowfishing line, a plastic bottle and some tools to get the job done.
