We can think of a lot of ways to deal with a rattlesnake other than grabbing it with your bare hands and “whipping it like a towel,” but that’s just what Neal Hunt does when he discovers a big rattler. The whipping method actually quickly breaks the neck, which instantly kills and prevents the snake from moving. Since severed rattlesnake heads can still bite you if handled improperly, this is a great option.
His method is certainly impressive (also dangerous) and we can’t deny how effective it is, but we’d highly recommend walking the other way if it ever came down to actually handling a snake with your barehands that could easily kill you.
